It consists of the new building yard Oma Baatbyggeri AS and the service and maintenance yard Oma Slipp & Mekaniske Verksted AS. The companies together provide vessel owners with a one-stop shop solution covering design, engineering, construction, modifications and maintenance.
New builds
Oma has been building vessels in aluminium since 1956, developing long‑standing expertise in lightweight, high‑performance construction. Since 1995, our core focus has been the design and construction of aluminium catamarans.
With proven in‑house designs, strong engineering capabilities, and extensive operational experience from both newbuildings and aftermarket support, we deliver vessels built for reliable performance throughout their lifecycle.
Maintenance, repair
and conversions
Oma Slipp & Mekaniske Verksted located across the bay from the main yard was founded in 1981 and specialises in the servicing, maintenance and modification of vessels ranging in size up to approximately 50m
